Sweet & Smoky Grilled Asparagus
Sweet & Smoky Grilled Asparagus
Rated 3.0 stars by 2 users
This is a simple variation on grilled asparagus we've recently adapted. It's inspired by a recipe developed by the folks at Whiskey Oak Seasonings.
Ingredients
-
1 bunch fresh asparagus
-
¼ cup Lucero extra virgin olive oil
-
2 Tbsp traditional balsamic vinegar
-
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
-
1 Tbsp Whiskey Oak Smoked Steak Seasoning
Directions
Trim asparagus by breaking the tough end.
Prepare a marinade by mixing together all other ingredients.
Add asparagus and allow to marinate for 20 to 30 minutes. [tip: some folks like to use a zip lock bag to both prepare the marinade and marinate the spears]
Fire your grill and lay the marinated asparagus perpendicular to the grate, turning frequently for even cooking for 5 to 7 minutes to achieve a gentle char.
Recipe Note
A light drizzle of extra marinade after plating the asparagus gives the finished dish a nice glisten. Be aware that between the Worcestershire sauce and the Smoked Steak Seasoning this is a high sodium recipe, so serve sparingly.
