Three Compartments for the Table

This compact serving tray keeps three small bites together while giving each one its own place. Offer three different varieties of olives, or combine olives with cornichons, nuts, crackers, cheese, dried fruit, or other accompaniments.

The individual wells help keep flavors and textures separate, while the single-piece format is easy to carry from kitchen to table. Its modest footprint makes it especially useful for drinks, an antipasti spread, or a small gathering.

The tray is shown with our Warm Herbed Olives in the center and nuts on either side. Food and the larger olivewood board shown in the photographs are not included.

Carved from a Single Piece

Each tray is carved from one solid piece of sustainably sourced olivewood from Sfax, Tunisia. There are no joined sections or glued compartments.

The carver follows the grain and natural form of the wood, so the shape, color, veining, and depth of the three wells will vary. Some trays are relatively regular; others reveal knots, darker heartwood, or more pronounced contours. No two will be precisely alike.

Olivewood is dense, durable, and well suited to repeated use at the table. Its close grain takes a smooth finish and displays an unusually varied pattern of warm gold, brown, and darker veining.

Hand wash the tray without soaking and dry it promptly. Condition periodically with food-safe mineral oil or our olivewood conditioning butter. Do not use cooking oil, which may become rancid.
