Flavor & Enjoyment

You'll experience strong Amarena cherry aroma and flavor (almonds, roses, cedar, spices), which dominate and then yield to the dark, rich balsamic vinegar finish making this an outstanding addition to meats and spicy dishes. Pork, duck, and venison are especially (but not exclusively) recommended.

About this Product

Amarena cherries are small wild morello-type cherries found in Ferrara, a province that shares a border with Modena in Emilia-Romagna. [I've included a map in the photo section for reference.] The wild Amarena cherry was cultivated and popularized in the early 20th century by the Fabbri family, and today these succulent jewels are grown in Bologna and Modena, too. The Amarena variety are the darlings of barmen, pastry chefs, and home cooks in-the-know around the world and, as a local variety, it is only natural that they’d find their way into Aceto Balsamico as they have here.

Delicious Cherry Balsamic

I love this unique balsamic vinegar. It makes any salad taste gourmet. I gave it as a gift to my daughter-in-law, who always enjoys my salads.

Balsamic vinegar

I miss this place so much when they were south of Redding. Our favorite was the white balsamic vinegar mixed with the orange olive oil. Omg, the best thing we ever had. But I don’t see either one of these mentioned, in this website. Hoping someday you’ll get them back. In the mean time I’m going to order the cherry balsamic vinegar. But my only worry is the heat right now. Supposed to be 110 this week. Just about the time it’ll arrive. Maybe I’ll wait until fall when it’s cooler.

Very nice vinegar

Vinegar has a slightly syrupy consistency, which is good. Flavor is dense and not too acidic. A little is all you need and can flavor much more than salads. Happy these products are back.

Same as the fig vintage. Very impressive.
