My instinct for the Whiskey Oak Seasonings collection was to immediately focus on the seasoning--the salt, sugar, or proprietary blend of spices, however, the maker has asked that we focus instead on what it REALLY is first--the smoke.
Whiskey Oak Seasonings is one of the few products on the market made by smoking over real wood and not an effect gained by the shortcut of "liquid smoke". Kirk uses wood from retired oak whiskey barrels, a unique hand built smoker, and slowly smokes in small batches.
The salt itself is a clean even-grained coarse kosher salt that Kirk sources locally.
Suitable for both cooking and finishing meats, vegetables, and even desserts. Rim cocktail glasses with this product for a smoky twist.
